Attorney Jude’s educational journey began in the picturesque Commonwealth of Dominica, the Nature Isle of the Caribbean, where her lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer took root from a tender age. Faced with initial financial constraints that could have deterred her, she persevered. Initially, she considered a career as a high school teacher at her alma mater, the Pierre Charles Secondary School, but her parents played a pivotal role in encouraging her to pursue her dreams. After a brief teaching stint, bolstered by her parents’ unwavering support, she boldly embraced her true calling in law.
This unwavering determination led her to the University of the Virgin Islands, where her passion for the practice of law blossomed during an internship in Washington, D.C. through the Washington Center Summer internship program. This transformative experience ignited her pursuit of a Jurist Doctor Degree (JD) at Barry University’s Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, where she excelled academically, graduating with a Litigation Honors Certificate. She was also the recipient of the immigration stipend and trial team scholarship, demonstrating her dedication and commitment to the field. During her time at Barry, she distinguished herself as an Associate Editor for the Barry University Environmental Earth Law Journal and actively engaged with numerous student organizations, notably serving as a senator within the Student Bar Association for three years and serving on the executive board of the Immigration Law Society. Attorney Jude also gained practical experience by participating in the immigration clinic, representing clients before the immigration court as a certified legal intern, and volunteering at an immigration law firm in Orlando. After graduation, she was a law clerk at a law firm in Vienna Virginia.
